The Seven Seasons of Change

Dr. Rudy Rodriguez D.D.

What I am about to teach is prophetic for everyone hearing or reading this teaching. It is God’s intent to lay out a road map, so take notes. Write this down: God Almighty is about to bring great change to your walk.

And when He does, seven things will take place before change comes. As I read the Word, seven changes must take place before change comes to the believer. There are seven seasons which must take place before you complete God’s plan for your life. Just like the seven seasons in the life of Moses, the life of Abraham, and the life of Jesus. For time’s sake we will touch on these three persons. Here are the seven seasons or major changes: write them down,

1. Atmosphere Change

2. Message Change

3. Circumstances Change

4. Vision Change

5. Location Change

6. Worship Change

7. Destination Change – New Anointing

For each season or major change there are seven minor changes.

 Here is an example:

Major Change: Death of a loved one;

7 Minor Changes:

1.     Shock & Denial: The survivor may deny the reality of the loss at some level, in order to avoid the pain.

2.     Pain & Guilt: As the shock wears off, it is replaced with the suffering of unbelievable pain.

3.     Anger & Bargaining: Frustration gives way to anger, and you lash out and lay unwarranted blame for the death on someone else. Why me?

4.     Depression, Reflection, Loneliness: A long period of sad reflection will overtake the person.

5.     The upward Turn: The person starts to adjust to life without the loved one. They become calmer and more organized.

6.     Reconstruction & Working Through: They become more functional, the mind starts working again and they find themselves seeking realistic solutions to problems posed by life without their loved one.

7.     Acceptance & Hope: They learn to accept and deal with the reality of their situation.

Let’s look a Paul the Apostle:

 1. When he was a Pharisee

2. When Christ met him at the road to Damascus (Acts 9:4)

3. When he went to Arabia for 3 years (Galatians 1:15-18)

4. When he came to meet Peter and John (Galatians 1:12)

5. When he left Jerusalem, with Barnabas (Acts 111:30)

6. When Barnabas left him (Acts 15:39-40)

7. When he was on the ship wreck (Acts 28:39-44)

I believe that you will fulfill seven seasons in your life before you’ve completed your life’s mission. Every time a fresh season begins seven seasons of change will begin.

Let’s look at the life of Moses. What happened when Moses entered into Egypt?

The first thing that takes place is an atmosphere change. There has to be an atmosphere change before God can move in. In the upper room, the atmosphere changed when the Holy Spirit came in, a mighty wind blew in and changed the atmosphere. Even the devil understands that! God speaks through atmosphere. He told Moses to prepare a place where He could dwell. The Holy Spirit moves when the atmosphere is right. Atmosphere is so important that preachers miss it, they don’t even know what it is.

The second thing that is going to change is the Message. Moses comes to Egypt and says that I AM that I AM sent. Paul goes to Antioch and preaches a new message. Moses says: “We’re coming out”, brand new message. Paul preaches the Word of God in Antioch, brand new message. For over three hundred years they only heard what Pharaoh said, but then they heard what God is saying. That’s a brand new message….

In the upper room, Peter preaches a brand new message. God is about to change your message, I said: God is about to change your message. Suddenly you begin to hear something fresh.

The third thing that is going to change is your circumstances. In Egypt they begin to say they are a free men, they are coming out of bondage. The message brought change to the way they saw the world. They saw themselves as free men. That’s how powerful a message is. Jesus taught on the Kingdom of God and people were set free form the bondage of the religion. It will change the way you see things. You cannot change people from the outside, it has to come from the inside. Change comes from the inside out, not from the outside in. By changing the heart of man, you’ll change the outside.

The fourth thing that was changed in Egypt was Vision (the way they saw God). For years they saw nothing but idols. Suddenly God sends a man with a new message, then they experience a God who delivers from bondage. In the upper room they saw the fire of the Holy Spirit. First the atmosphere changes, then the message, the circumstances change, and then the vision changes. They see God in a new way.

The fifth thing that happened in Egypt is the change of location. The Israelites  where  leaving their current location and where being set free from bondage. Location is very important, why: your surroundings can change your faith. The wrong people can destroy your faith walk, this is way you have to be around people of faith. The wrong people, wrong messages, wrong locations, wrong everything will destroy your anointing.

The sixth  thing that is changed is Worship. God will change your worship. In the upper room they began to worship in the spirit.

The seventh change is destination. God will change your destination, your going into your promised land.

The Word of God says in Acts 3:19,

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things [of the perfect state before the fall], which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

There is coming a time of renewal, a refreshing to the body of Christ. During the restitution of all things, we are going to be restored to the perfect state before the fall of man. There is coming a Global move of God, He is going to shake the whole earth.
